10-Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive at Edinburgh Airport
Met by your Concierge Tour Driver who will be with you for your entire trip. Transfer to the World Famous Gleneagles Hotel and enjoy the rest of the day exploring the wonders of the hotel. Steeped in history.
More than simply 5 Star, more importantly, it’s pure class!
Day 2: Play The Kings Course
James Braid’s most famous course design. The 13th is named ‘Braid’s Brawest’ or ‘Braid’s Best’. Using the natural beauty of the Glens, the scenery is breathtaking and so is the course. Your game will be tested from tee to green and you will be left wanting more as you hole out on the 18th.
Day 3: Play The PGA Centenary Course
A complete contrast in course design by the hand of Jack Nicklaus. Emulate the Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup stars in your own ‘match of a lifetime’.
Day 4: Play The Queens Course
Another stunning design by James Braid. Shorter than The Kings but just as beautiful. With 5 Par 3’s it’s a relatively short course and one to enjoy.
Day 5: Travel to St Andrews - Play St Andrews Castle Course
The ‘Home of Golf’ and the highlight of any UK Golf Tour. The Castle Course offers stunning views across St Andrews Bay. Looking back towards St Andrews Castle you can see the town silhouetted in the distance. The clifftop holes are quite memorable as are the huge greens. The newest St Andrews Links course opened in 2008 and is already gaining quite a reputation.
Day 6: Play Dumbarnie
The course opened in 2020 to huge acclaim. There is a real possibility that the Scottish Open may be held in the coming years and it would be a worthy host. Every hole feels separate and individual. This is a seriously great golf course.
Day 7: Play St Andrews Old Course
The Mecca of Golf and a life’s ambition realised for many golfers. Walk in the footsteps of legends and make your own lifelong memories. Embrace the nerves on the 1st tee and knock one down the middle. 4 hours later you’ll be walking up 17 and 18 and the hairs will be standing up on the back of your neck as you emulate the golfing Gods.
Day 8: Play Kingsbarns
A truly stunning masterpiece is considered by many to be best course in Scotland. Sea views from every hole and signature holes reminiscent of Pebble Beach. This is a must! Why not include the Kingsbarns Whiskey Distillery Tour which is next door?
Day 9: Play St Andrews New Course
The oldest ‘New Course’ in the world. Built by the legendary Old Tom Morris and opened in 1895. A fitting way to finish your trip of a lifetime.
Day 10: Depart from Edinburgh Airport
Time to reflect on your memorable visit to Scotland and why not start planning your next trip?
Sightseeing
As St Andrews is so small and the courses so close by, you will have plenty of time to see the many attractions of the ‘auld grey toon’. Visit the 900 year old Cathedral ruins and the equally old St Andrews Castle, both just a short walk from the Old Course. It takes just an hour to walk around the town (if you avoid the pubs) and you’ll see the beautiful architecture that adorns the University buildings and old townhouses. Just 5 mins further and you’ll find the tiny fishing harbour which still operates today. Your Concierge driver will make sure you don’t miss a thing!
