The Scottish Highlands Tour

The remote beauty of the highlands takes golf to another level. The golden beaches of Dornoch and the stunning holes at Castle Stuart (Cabot Highlands) will make for unforgettable memories. You must include some time to take in the sights, maybe Loch Ness, Spey Valley or The Cairngorms National Park.

7-Day Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Edinburgh or Inverness Airport

Met by your Concierge Tour Driver who will be with you for your entire trip. Transfer to your hotel in Inverness. Rest of the day at leisure allowing you to explore the town if you wish.

Day 2: Play Castle Stuart (also known as Cabot Highlands)

A stunning design along the waters of the Morray Firth, the rugged and natural landscape is formed from huge swathes of gorse, broom, heather and sea marram. Manicured fairways and greens are complimented by the natural rugged vegetation. Castle Stuart was home to The Scottish Open on 4 occasions and is a ‘must’ when visiting the highlands.

Day 3: Play Nairn

Formed in 1887 Nairn is regularly named in the list of Scotland’s top courses. It has a rich pedigree and has been host to numerous major amateur events. Old Tom Morris and James Braid both lent their hand to shape the course we play today. It runs along the Moray Firth where you often see Dolphins feeding on the incoming salmon.

Day 4: Play Royal Dornoch

This Old Tom Morris masterpiece is in every respected ‘World’s Top 10 Courses’ and for good reason. If it wasn’t so remote it would have undoubtedly held many Open Championships. In May till July you will see the bright yellow gorse in full majestic bloom. It frames the holes and compliments the emerald green fairways. Golden beaches and azure blue sea. This is without doubt the best course in the highlands.

Day 5: Play Brora

A James Braid classic overlooking the North Sea. A stunning course which you may have to share with the local sheep and cattle. Breathtaking views and natures rugged beauty combine to make this a golf purists dream.

Day 6: Play Fortrose & Rosemarkie

Formed in 1793 this is the 15th oldest golf course in the world. Re-designed by James Braid it is laid out on a thin finger of land jutting out into the Moray Firth. Narrow fairways mean accuracy is your priority off the tee. A real taste of old fashioned links golf. What a treat!

Day 7: Depart from Inverness or Edinburgh Airport

Your Concierge Tour Driver will transfer you back to Inverness or Edinburgh Airport for your flight home. Allowing you time to discuss your next golf trip!
